Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree - One year of laboratory experience
Description: Performs and interprets designated laboratory
procedures. Performs serologic, chemical, bacteriologic,
immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic procedures and
related duties to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of
disease. Performs accurate and appropriate testing on laboratory
specimens/collections according to established laboratory protocol
and procedures. Reports results in a timely manner. Troubleshoots
instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen/product
problems using standard laboratory techniques as required. Performs
laboratory quality control, including reporting discrepancies and
troubleshooting according to established procedures and protocols.
Takes appropriate action to assure quality results/products for use
by healthcare providers and patients. Performs daily, weekly,
monthly, and as needed maintenance and calibrations on instruments
and equipment to meet all quality requirements. Conducts
verification tests on new products, instruments, and procedures,
which include comparisons and statistical analysis as requested.
Performs quality audit data collection, policy/procedure
development, and inspection assistance under the direction of
laboratory management. Maintains workflow in the clinical
laboratory through proficiency in testing and maintaining work
areas and supply stock. Monitors and assists in the management of
inventory. Assists in the training and orientation of new
associates. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the
organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs
