Status: Part Time or Full Time, Non-ExemptReports To: Director
of Facilities, EngineeringA. Purpose and Scope of PositionThis
position will perform activities related to the production,
cleaning, and maintenance in the Facilities department as assigned.
This person does not supervise others and will support the
activities of the department Director. This position interacts with
employees in the department and may interact with other department
supervisors and employees as requested.This position works with the
department Director, Engineers, and with other Support staff at the
production, processing, and facility maintenance level.B.
Organizational Relationship This position reports to the Director
of Facilities, Engineering. This position may provide additional
support to other departments as requested.C. Duties and
Responsibilities
- Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the requirements of
the applicable standards and regulations including, but not limited
to, 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 1271, AATB, MDSAP (per jurisdictional
requirements), and ISO 13485. Adhere to and promote compliance with
the applicable standards and regulations throughout the
company
- Support Xtant Medical's mission, values, and Quality
Policy
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times and
follow requirements to properly dispose of hazardous and
non-hazardous waste according to OSHA regulations and Xtant Medical
SOPs
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the Xtant Medical
products and general biological and chemical systems utilized
within the Department. Know how the activities performed in the
Department are controlled by and interact with the Quality System
and how they affect the production of medical devices and tissues
as applicable
- Adhere to Xtant Medical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and safety protocols
- Complete annual SOP review and OSHA safety training as
applicable
- Provide status reports of projects as necessary to department
management
- Represent the company in a professional manner to the public,
customers, and vendors, and maintain trusting relationships with
physician partners, customers, and fellow employees
- Maintain all structures, internal and external, in an
acceptable working condition and in accordance with all applicable
regulatory agency requirements
- Keep maintenance and facility work areas organized, clean, and
free of hazards
- Maintain grounds and external facilities in professional
manner, including yard, outside area maintenance, and snow
removal
- Complete facility improvements as directed including facility
layout, facility changes, repairs and maintenance
- Work with in-house and outside engineering and facility-related
vendors and contractors as required
- Must maintain and keep current all facilities and applicable
equipment scheduled maintenance, logs, calibration, and
documentation as directed
- Repair and maintain instruments and equipment as scheduled and
assigned
- Organize instrument and equipment spare parts and disposables
as needed
- Assist with process calibration and interface with calibration
service providers as directed
- Assist other departments as directed
- Work with manufacturers and vendors to troubleshoot and repair
equipment, or schedule maintenance as required
- Assist with facilities planning and maintenance
troubleshooting
- Financial Responsibilities
- Organize and submit requisitions to department management to
maintain an adequate inventory of supplies as necessary
- Submit timely expense reports and abide by the Expense
Reimbursement Policy
- Training
- Participate in training plans and programs and complete in a
timely manner within set deadlines
- Complete required training prior to attempting to perform a
task
- Management
- This position does not supervise others
- Work with and support the activities his or her assigned
department and all other departments as requested
- Document Control and Record Control
- Assist in the completion and retention of documentation
pertaining to all SOPs as required
- Legibly and accurately complete all documentation associated
with assigned duties in accordance with GDP and review the written
documentation of others as required
- Maintain information in physical and electronic files as
required
- Other duties as assigned
- Performance of Duties
- Complete required training, including initial orientation and
environmental health and safety training, prior to performing
tasks. Keep training up to date
- Perform all duties according to established procedures and
follow appropriate safety precautions and measures
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional and courteous manner
in all aspects of interaction with fellow employees, surgeons,
staff, and end users
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Must maintain confidentiality of donor and recipient
information according to HIPAAD. Job Requirements
- Education/Credentials Experience & Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge and experience in building, engineering,
janitorial trades including but not limited to basic carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, and flooring, roofing, etc. preferred but not
required
- Technical Requirements/Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing
- Ability to multitask
- Must possess advanced organizational skills and strong
attention to detail
- Basic computer skills required such as general knowledge of MS
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software as
necessary
- Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw
conclusions
- Ability to use electric saws and other power tools is
preferred
- Technical equipment and instrumentation experience including
calibration, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of a wide
variety of HVAC systems, pumps, fixtures and electronics is
preferred but not required3. Managerial Experience

- Must be able to reason independently and work with limited
guidance
- Ability to interpret data and make sound judgments based on
those interpretations

- Must be able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and
schedules
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with all
co-workers and the public and use good judgment in recognizing
scope and authority5. Working Conditions
- Working conditions include normal office environment,
laboratory setting, environmentally controlled area (ECA),
cleanrooms, and other sterile environments. Duties may also include
working outdoors and at heights. Standard office hours are Monday -
Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Occasional evening/weekend work may be required
- May work in conditions leading to minor personal discomfort
such as temperatures above or below personal comfort levels6.
Health and Safety
- Must adhere to all health and safety requirements specified
when entering laboratory and device manufacturing areas and in the
handling of company products
- Must adhere to health and safety requirements for use of
equipment for work at height
- This position will sometimes be required to wear personal
protective equipment (PPE), such as laboratory coat, scrubs,
gloves, goggles, hearing protection, chemical apron, etc.
- Will require experience or training in the routine handling of
chemicals and biohazards
- May require OSHA (bloodborne pathogen) training, SDS, and other
safety training as applicable
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 60 lbs. Note: This Job
