Job Description:
Darigold is seeking motivated and skilled bulk milk filling and
packaging operators to work 8 to 12 hour night, swing or day shift
as a part of Darigold's Bozeman Team. A Packaging Operator must
possess the desire and ability to work in a fast and safe manner in
the Filling and Packaging area of the Bulk Milk Processing Plant.
The ideal candidate for this role excels in working in a fast
paced, rigorous environment and is a team player. This position
will advance your skills and promotes a self activating work group.
This position is responsible for maintaining the continuous
operation of a filling and packaging line of the facility while
following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in
Darigold's Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard
Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions. The
position is also required to report any concerns that may impact
Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant
Quality Manager or the Plant Manager.What You Will Do:Safe,
efficient operation of the UP Filling machinesInspecting and
monitoring the filling process ensuring proper machine
operationMaintaining and monitoring weights and measures; ensuring
proper code markings and labellingMaintaining and monitoring any
required inventory necessary to the filling processSupporting as
needed palletizing of milk product; Hand stacking of product as
requiredPrinting and validating batch packets; operates scan gun
and verifies that data and documentation are accurate reconciled,
balanced, printed, collected, and passed on through appropriate
channelsWorks in close collaboration with the entire line of
workersWorking in conjunction with the Supervisor and Filler
Operator on shift will cross train on all of the line
operationsOperates the Box Former as may be neededPulls packaging
for productionSafely operates a forklift or pallet jack; loads
product for transfer to the WarehousePerforms CIP sanitation of the
work area; maintains organization of the work area; and performs
ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and
warehouse practicesPerform other duties as assigned by the
supervisor.What You Will Bring:Must be able to lift and/or carry up
to 55 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest levelMust be
able to continuously stand, walk, flex, stretch, twist and move
throughout the area for 8 to 12 hoursMust be able to climb stairs
and traverse potentially uneven wet flooringAbility to organize and
analyze process problemsMust be able to train others in inventory
and labelling processesStrong oral and written communication
skills; must be able to read and follow directionsMust be able to
master and safely operate filling equipment on the line as well as
pallet jack and forkliftAbility to learn and master scanning, batch
ticketing, and basic computer useMust have basic arithmetic skills;
able to read and understand instructionsAble to write legiblyMust
be able to monitor and inspect inventory and reconcile
receipt/distribution of productMust be able to follow instructions
