PRIMRARY ROLE: Perform account management duties to an assigned book of clients, ensuring client satisfaction by establishing realistic client expectations, seeking client input, and meeting service commitments in a professional and punctual manner. Has direct client contact and works at the direction of the assigned Consultant to each TPG client. Performs a variety of technical assignments and administrative duties in the areas of: Client Service – serve as the daily contact for assigned client by conducting research and advising client on claim issues, billing discrepancies, contract interpretation, compliance issues, supply requests and other daily issues that may arise. A Senior AM is responsible to see that TPG meets its service commitments by following up on all concerns and problems to obtain timely resolution for our clients.Regulatory and legal research and analysis;ERISA reporting and disclosure;Legal compliance assistance; andClient relations.Service Calls/Meetings – work with Consultants to develop monthly, quarterly and annual presentations for routine service calls/meetings, and organize/schedule those meetings with service team and clients. Manage through database to ensure scheduled tasks are completed.Marketing – coordinate the marketing survey process, including RFP development, preparation of rate/fee and benefit comparisons, cost projections, network disruption analysis, etc.Benefit plan design, implementation and administration;Understand and analyze benefit plan experience reporting;Benefit plan marketing and analysis;Carrier/vendor rate and/or fee negotiations.New Client Set-Up and Initial Review – internal set up of new clients into our various systems. Includes hard file and computer creation, carrier/vendor notification, contract review, compliance review, etc. Assist with initial benefit plan evaluation procedures.Contract and SPD Review – review contracts, amendments and SPDs for accuracy and coverage; identify errors and coordinate corrections with the carrier/vendor.Renewals – assist in the renewal process by sending notification requests to carriers, requesting options from carriers, creating rate/fee spreadsheets and cost projections, drafting a renewal presentation report, prepare renewal confirmation and termination letters for carriers/vendors.Employee Meetings – organize, attend, and conduct employee enrollment meetings, benefit and wellness fairs. May include preparing meeting agenda, materials and documents and retaining meeting minutes. May assist to develop, schedule, organize and attend educational workshops, seminars, panel discussions, etc for clients and prospects as well as employee communications.Peer Review – oversee peer review/approve draft 5500’s and SARs and experience reports.Mentoring - provide recommendations to improve EBD procedures and policies. Mentor other team members.Consultant Support – perform duties of a Consultant for client assignments in the Consultant’s absence.Prospecting – assist with solicitations and prospecting; may attend presentations when requested.Administrative Tasks – filing, ingoing and outgoing mail, word processing, creation of correspondence, fax and emails, initiating and returning phone calls, etc. A Senior Benefits Account Manager possesses the following high level skills and attributes: Knowledge of jobLevel of operation (consistent high level performance and duties)AttitudeDependability/attendanceTeam support and willingness to go the extra mileAdherence and support of company and department policies and procedures – is a TPG advocateRecognized as a contributor to the divisionProactive industry involvementTenure with the organization and/or profession Specific to benefits, a Senior AM will also be responsible for large client experience report analysis and review and operating systems expertise, especially in the analytics filed, Excel, etc. INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT: Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment. Directly involved in helping the client make policy decisions, provision of expert advice and investigation and resolution of matters of significance. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, but at a minimum a high school diploma or its equivalent.At least five - seven years of experience in the field of employee benefits administration, marketing and/or insurance/carrier experience.Active health insurance producer or consultant license is required, life license preferred, but not required. A professional designation (CEBS, RHU, etc) is preferred, but not required.Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with InDesign and Publisher software a plus.Outstanding customer service skills are essential.
