Position and Version #: JOB-BPF-509 v1 Location of Position: Bozeman, MT Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Senior Manager Manufacturing Job Classification: Salaried Supervisory Yes; this position supervises the roles of Shipping Assistant and Inventory Control Responsibilities: and Receiving. Scope of Position: This position supervises and coordinates activities of workers responsible for picking product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services. This position is considered a 'working supervisor' who assists the Shipping & Receiving Team as appropriate. Essential Duties Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation. Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment. Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment. Lead Daily Management meetings; define department metrics and review effectiveness of metrics on a routine basis Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Issue written and oral instructions. Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers. Assist employees with work process issues. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Interview and hire new employees. Confer with other managers in the facility to ensure coordination of other warehouse activities. Confer with other managers outside of the facility to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management and quality assurance. Ensure correct shipment of international orders and hazardous material orders. Identify employees' skills and develop them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
