Certification Description: This position requires the delivery of
high-quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or
treatment. The Radiologic Technologist independently performs CT
and X-Ray procedures. They produce images for interpretation by a
licensed practitioner. This role supports various outpatient and
inpatient settings with a variable schedule. Candidates must be
graduates of an accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
Documented competencies in Radiology and CT are essential. American
Heart Association BLS certification is required within 60 days of
hire. Essential functions include performing quality CT and
X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams as requested. The technologist operates
with limited supervision, maintaining attention to detail and
meeting customer needs. They assist medical staff in other
departments during exams and procedures as necessary. Ancillary
duties include maintaining the proper distribution, billing, and
archival of exams and procedures. Candidates are responsible for
documentation to ensure proper interpretation and retrieval of
exams. They must retrieve written orders and related health
information to ensure timely performance and reporting. The
position requires strong interpersonal, verbal, and written
communication skills. Candidates must analyze, organize, and
prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. The role
necessitates regular attendance and may require working beyond a
standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends. On-call work may be
required to respond promptly to organizational needs. Physical
requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and
maintaining a standing or walking posture for extended periods. The
position involves cognitive skills such as learning new tasks,
remembering processes, and making timely decisions in a workflow.
Exposures include bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and chemicals
used in healthcare settings. Candidates must also be prepared to
