Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/31/2025 Duration: Ongoing Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Per Diem Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Per Diem) Location: Sheridan, MT Contract Type: Per Diem Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care in both ER and Med/Surg departments. Perform triage, assessment, and continuous monitoring of patient conditions. Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as required. Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments. Float between ER and Med/Surg units based on staffing and patient needs. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records. Respond promptly to critical situations, maintaining calm and professional communication. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana (or Compact license). Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency or Med/Surg settings. Prior experience in Critical Access or Rural Health facilities preferred. Must be comfortable with multitasking and floating between units.
