- ICU experience preferably with balloon pump, CRRT, and
pediatric experience.
- Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative
and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care
team, plans and implements patient and family education and is
responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate
intervention for patients.Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Required Montana Licensure (Registered
Nurse)
- American Heart Association BLS
- Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice
modified primary nursing
- Preferred Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential
functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time
completion of all required education as assigned per DNV
requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry
requirements.
- Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or
the situation (Assessment)
- Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues
(Diagnosis)
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the
patient or the situation
- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to
attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)
- Implements the identified plan of care
- Employs strategies to promote health and a safe
environment
- Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of
nursing practice
- Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing
practice
- Evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to
professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes,
rules and regulations
- Interacts with and contributes to the professional development
of peers and colleagues
- Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of
nursing practice
- Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice

- Two hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually
- Stroke Competency: Complies with hospital policies, procedures,
protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with
hyperacute and acute stroke and Participates in one hour annually
of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrate sound judgement,
patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
- Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains
confidentiality
- Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and
with minimal oversight
- Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork

- Ability to work varied shifts
- Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended
periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more
hours daily.
- Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond
a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours
shifts.
- On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond
to organizational and patient needs promptly.Unit Specific
Information
- The role involves handling physically challenging situations
and working in challenging emotional environments.Additional
Details
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from facility to be
considered for assignment. Do not submit candidates living less
than 90 miles from facility.
- Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per
13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen
circumstances.
