Evolve Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist (RN) for immediate opening in the Bozeman, MT area. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will provide 10 to 12-hour shifts. This is a full time 40/hours per week schedule. -Position Summary: Surgical Technologist Non-Certified are allied health professionals, who are an integral part of the team providing care to patients. Surgical Technologists function in the role of scrub person. Surgical Technologists work under the supervision of the provider and the R.N. to ensure that the care environment is safe, equipment functions properly and that the procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.Minimum Qualifications: - - - - - - - - High School Diploma or Equivalent - - - - - - - - Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program; or equivalent military surgical technologist program - - - - - - - - American Heart Association BLS - - - - - - - - Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist - - - - - - - - Preferred: 1 year surgical technologist experience in acute care operating roomEssential Job Functions: - - - - - - - - Maintenance of strict aseptic technique. - - - - - - - - Demonstrates knowledge and judgement in meeting the needs of the patient. - - - - - - - - Checks supplies and equipment needed for procedure. - - - - - - - - Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, solutions needed for procedure. - - - - - - - - Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and at appropriate intervals per policy. - - - - - - - - Gowns and gloves provider and assistants. - - - - - - - - Helps in draping the sterile field. - - - - - - - - Passes instruments, etc. to provider during procedure. - - - - - - - - Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure. - - - - - - - - Prepares sterile dressings. - - - - - - - - Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - - - - - - - - Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment - - - - - - - - Ability to work varied shifts - - - - - - - - Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills - - - - - - - - Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times - - - - - - - - Creativity, problem analysis and decision making - - - - - - - - Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritizeEvolve Healthcare Staffing accommodates the needs of the healthcare industry while focusing on the healthcare professional.
