  Personal computers, hardware and basic software programs including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  Physical ability to deliver oxygen and respiratory treatments as prescribed.
  Potential adverse reactions to oxygen and respiratory treatment therapy.
  SKILLS IN:
  Manual Dexterity to operate computer, effective communication skills, legible writing, data collection and analysis skills, and an ability to evaluate nonfunctioning equipment.
  Delivering all aspects of respiratory therapy.
  Maintaining airways .
  ABILITY TO:
  Refer to policy manual for specific instructions/guidelines.
  Follow established policies and procedures.
  Adhere to the standards of the job description and overall philosophy of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital
  Set-up and manage mechanical ventilators.
  Ability to sterilize equipment
  Perform advance life support measures relating to the maintenance of airways.
  Understand and work around infectious secretions.
  Perform arterial blood sampling.
  Effectively communicate in speech and writing.
  Stay current with hospital email communications.
  The therapist is responsible to read all communications from the RT manager and supervisor as well as other hospital communications.
  Collect objective data and reduce to note format.
  Understand the use of flow sheets and log books.
  Assist with CODE 99's and RRT's.
  Perform bedside Pulmonary Functions.
  May require training and ability to perform EEG's, bronchoscopy, ABG's
  Rotate shifts.
  Take and transcribe physician orders.
  Maintain a responsible, friendly and professional attitude toward the hospital and the department.
  CPAP/AUTOPAP set up and mask fitting
  CRU: Cooperative, Respectul, Unified: Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive attitude as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
  Use time productively and triage treatments appropriately. Clock in and out per RT dept. specific policy.
  Read and understand all RT dept. specific and related Policies and protocols.Required QualificationsDUCATIONGraduate of an accredited Registered respiratory therapy program, or otherwise accredited RRT through NBRCLICENSURE and CERTIFICATIONMaintains Current Licensure as Respiratory TherapistNBRC RRT credentialBLS, ACLS & PALS certification by American Heart Association (AHA) or the Military Training Network.Current NRP certificationPreferred QualificationsnaFacility LocationLocated in Montana's Gallatin County, Bozeman is the fourth largest city in the state, despite its small-town appearance and demeanor.
