For questions contact *********************** Contract Type Classified Salary If other, please specify Recruitment Type Open Position Details General Statement Facilities Services is charged with the maintenance and operations of all university buildings, grounds, and infrastructure systems. Facilities is comprised of four service management areas: Environmental Services, Campus Maintenance, Engineering and Utilities, and General Operations, in addition to the Business Management and Administrative areas necessary to support the Facilities operation. The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Manager is responsible for coordinating the campus Preventive Maintenance program for all physical infrastructure (building envelope, equipment and systems), and the Facilities Services fleet vehicles and mobile equipment. This includes: evaluating PM needs; prioritizing safety- and/or operationally-critical equipment; creating PM templates by equipment category; creating PM procedures for specific equipment; creating PM parts lists for each asset; creating complex PM schedules; evaluating PM labor needs and ensuring coordination of work with appropriate trades and supervisors; tracking and reporting metrics and key performance indicators; tracking and managing equipment replacement schedules; PM training coordination; assisting with fuel systems management; and assisting the Fleet & Preventive Maintenance Manager in working with trades staff to identify mobile equipment needing PM, identifying the appropriate PM template and procedure, and schedule. All these tasks will use and interface with the existing CMM System (AiMAssetWorks). The position also performs Facilities Dispatcher I duties as needed in Work Control, and acts as the backup Work Control Supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities - Coordinates the MSU Bozeman Campus PM Program for all building-related equipment and systems, vehicles, and mobile equipment - Manage CMMS data relative to the Preventive Maintenance program - Assist Fleet & Preventive Maintenance Manager with fuel system management - Coordinating special projects as requested - Incumbent will attend and participate in required training for the use of personal protective equipment and comply with requirements for use of employer provided equipment Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills - Associate's degree in construction, fleet management, building maintenance, business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - Progressively responsible experience in a maintenance, construction or maintenance service organization. - Demonstrated experience working with a computerized maintenance system; such as AssetWorks AiM or other CMMS. - Demonstrated competence using CMMS, databases and other programs to provide reports and updates regarding preventive maintenance status and progress. - Demonstrated knowledge of Preventive Maintenance needs of building systems equipment and components, vehicles and heavy equipment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills - Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field. - Experience working in an institutional setting or university. - Demonstrated experience with maintenance dispatch duties such as operating phone and radios to receive, prioritize and assign service calls. - Demonstrated experience with AssetWorks AiM. - Experience directing personnel. Providing a high level of customer service in a positive, professional, and helpful manner. - Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people such as co-workers, contractors, the public, and the campus community. - Represent the department and MSU to others in a professional and courteous manner. - Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, and aptitude responding to a variety of questions from a diverse range of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
