Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Service Manager is primarily responsible for all operations of the Service Department, overseeing the Service Department staff, and driving work flow and efficiency for overall departmental profitability while maintaining the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Hire, evaluate, train, and monitor Service Advisors and Service Technicians to meet the company's service goals as established by the General Manager.
Ensure that all Service Advisors and Service Technicians are trained and their skills are developed by encouraging attendance of periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by the automotive manufacturers.
Keep up-to-date on manufacture warranty policy and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representatives.
Maintain the Customer Satisfaction Index rating in accordance with department standards by remaining involved in the delivery of vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns can be addressed according to dealership policy and ensure that Service Advisors keep customers informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible charges.
Ensures that customer service files are up-to-date and readily available for reference.
Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred 5+ years of experience in a Service Department position preferred.
ASE certification preferred.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Valid Driver License and clean driving record required.
