Assistant Restaurant Manager, Great Pay, Fun Atmosphere
The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping manage the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee and assist with scheduling, employee training, alcohol ordering, booking events, marketing, optimizing profits, and ensuring that guests are satisfied with their experience. The Assistant Manager reports to the General Manager and Owners.

Responsibilities:
--- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
--- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, and labor costs.
--- Maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper attire, and appearance standards.
--- Must be ServSafe certified and uphold all ServSafe guidelines.
--- Ensure a positive customer experience in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
--- Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
--- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
--- Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
--- Assist in interviewing hourly employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development, and when necessary, termination of employees.
--- Conduct orientation, explain the Bozeman Taproom Philosophy, and oversee the training of new employees.
--- Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and by conducting performance reviews.
--- Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
--- Keeps General Manager and Owners promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance, and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
--- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
--- At all times provides a favorable image of The Bozeman Taproom to promote its philosophy.

Qualifications:
--- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, The Web, Cloud Software).
--- Knowledge of POS backend management.
--- Must enjoy sports, indoor/outdoor, mainstream/extreme - all the sports!
--- Ability to lift and organize kegs. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products, and supplies weighing 75+ pounds.
--- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, record keeping, and preparation of reports.
--- Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability, and outgoing.
--- Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
--- Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
--- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
--- Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
--- Manage 10+ employees each shift
--- Hours may vary if the manager must fill in for employees or if emergencies arise (typical work week = 40-50 hours).
--- One bartending shift per week is permitted if desired.
--- Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.
--- Work with hot, and cold, as well as operates phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
--- Must possess a valid driver's license.
--- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
--- Must agree to background and credit check.
