About the Role: We are looking for a Creative Director to join our SITKA -- Gear team in Bozeman, Montana. In this role you will be a creative visionary able to take the Sitka experience to the next level with a proven ability to understand the brand at a deep level to translate the brand into powerful experiences through a variety of mediums such as; a deep understanding of story telling principles, contemporary creative execution, and the life of a core Sitka customer. Responsibilities:

• Guiding--a premium brand experience from briefing to final deliverables aligning with the Brand Book standards including providing direction on story lines, gathering and acting on feedback from stakeholders, and mitigating production challenges
• Driving thought leadership in brand design and identify and interpret trends and their meaning, competitive activities and their implications, key consumer/customer activities and needs, and emerging technologies and their potential applications
• Leading and maintaining a cohesive brand visual and voice identity in a multichannel environment including print, digital, and physical presence
• Collaborating--on high level annual editorial strategy planning process that creates a strong brand experience and supports the consumer's journey with the brand
• Conceiving--and implementing concepts, guidelines, and strategies by defining stories using the story universe and the customer activation cycle
• Being responsible for art direction including the visual style and images of the brand and direct others who develop the artwork and creative layouts
• Collaborating with the marketing and creative teams on story ideas, brand treatments, and content production trips in alignment with the editorial calendar
• Analyzing--effectiveness through collaboration with the GTM team to review data, diagnose opportunities and challenges, and propose actions for the future
• Communicating, directing, and motivating--a team of content producers, content creators, copywriters, graphic designers, etc. to help them use their talents effectively and deliver on project assignments Required Qualifications:
  • At least--10--years experience as a Creative Director OR--at least 10 years experience in a related role (Content Production, Art Direction, Brand Creative, CMO, etc...)
  • An intimate understanding of design, copy, and web best practices/guidelines
  • Expert with the latest content and creative techniques and applications (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Highly effective cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic orientation with an ability to execute on the brand vision
  • Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced, deadline driven, agile environment
  • Proven ability to build and manage a highly productive in-house and freelance creative team Desired Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
