Our interaction platform uses machine learning across both voice and digital engagement channels to augment and automate human work, radically increasing productivity and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of customer experience teams.As our VP of Accounting, you will report directly to our CFO and play a key leadership role at ASAPP for our long-term success. You will lead the development of strategies to drive operational efficiency around our accounting processes as we continue to scale while also developing and implementing critical financial controls and technical accounting policies. You will partner closely with FP&A in shaping our annual budgeting process and developing an operational cost-management strategy, among other collaborative efforts including implementing tools to help us monitor our costs. You'll be instrumental in driving automation and standardization across all accounting processes, and own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial tasks in a timely fashion in order to help us keep pace with our rapidly growing business.This role will be based in Bozeman, Montana when we resume in-office work in 2021.What you'll do* Drive the development of strategies to improve accounting operations efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability, including the development and execution of policy, process, and system changes* Oversee all accounting functions, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, financial statement preparation, and tax planning and compliance* Develop internal control guidelines, technical accounting policies, and procedures; implement proper financial controls* Set the strategic direction for our accounting and business systems to ensure the proper automation, auditability, and controls on our underlying data and records* Prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial statements and manage the cadence of financial reporting for our leadership team and our Board of Directors* Collaborate closely with FP&A on developing process that allows for closing speed and detailed management reporting needsWhat you'll need* Significant accounting experience in a leadership capacity* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field or equivalent education* Extensive knowledge of US GAAP & Sarbanes-Oxley and experience working with Big Four auditors* Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that required the development of policies, defining processes, building key controls, etc.* Proven track record to collaborate and build positive relationships with other teams within finance and non-finance teams to effectively make recommendations, implement processes & policies, etc.* Keen sense of establishing internal controls, creating internal & external reporting, managing the audit processes, and tax* Experience configuring the appropriate accounting and other related business systems to operate at scaleWhat we'd like to see* Several years of experience as Controller or Head of Accounting in a high-growth environment* Demonstrated success driving decision-making through cross-functional collaboration and influence across all levels * Ability to execute on the challenges at hand while maintaining a forward-thinking mindset of the company's needs in the future* Experience in the selection, implementation, and management of ERP systems* CPA certification Perks* Competitive compensation* Fitness and wellness perks* Learning and development opportunitiesASAPP is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
