MeatEater, Inc. is hiring a VP, Human Resources to develop and implement a human resources strategy and foundation that supports the growth of a rapidly expanding company in a start-up environment.--This role will report to the CEO and work closely with MeatEater's senior leadership team to architect and implement plans that increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency while fostering the professional development of MeatEater's talent.--This includes implementing annual HR programs such as performance reviews, promotions, compensation adjustments, and succession planning in addition to helping to define and champion MeatEater's company culture. This position is based in Bozeman, Montana.Submit cover letter and resume to be considered for position. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Overall Strategy --Develop and administer Human Resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel for MeatEater, the brand, in addition to the other portfolio companies.Collaborate with senior leadership to define the parent company's long-term strategies, mission, and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent acquisition, management, and retention.--Implement an innovative and best-in-class Human Resources strategy and approach to establish MeatEater as a leading company to work for and be a part of.Create and maintain a strategic workforce development plan that aligns with business needs, while attracting and retaining diverse talent.Design and preserve a comprehensive and progressive compensation philosophy and structure including employee development and incentive programs.Culture ChampionWork with leadership to define, finetune, and advocate the MeatEater culture.Be a role model and champion for the operating culture needed to promote outstanding business performance. Lead in a helpful, "roll up your sleeves" manner that is perceived to be people-centric and is marked by a high level of energy. HR should be known as a provider of effective solutions. This person will demonstrate the level of humanity and approachability that encourages people in the organization to seek him/her out for advice and counsel.Benefits and ComplianceOffer technical expertise and leadership for human resources best practices, employment law, labor relations, employment policies, and organizational development while providing proactive and practical options and solutions.Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations to minimize risk to the company.Drive continued human resources-related policy development, including employee handbook.Talent Management, Recruitment, and TrainingBuild and maintain strong, trusted relationships with all levels of the team. Serve as a resource for employee relations issues. Provide counsel and support in resolving issues, disputes, and other sensitive matters.Oversee, develop, and implement team training and development programs.Coach leaders across business to build solid, effective employee relationships by offering guidance and support on performance and professional development issues.Responsible for recruiting all open roles across the company including sourcing, identifying, screening, and interviewing when relevant.--Partner closely with teams recruiting for the open positions on their needs, selection, and negotiation.Other AreasImplementation and maintenance of a Human Resources Information System across the entire portfolio of companies.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field. Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.7+ years of experience in a leadership role with broad knowledge and proficiency in Human Resource Management.Extensive project management experience.Demonstrated experience in early stage, fast growing businesses.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Thorough knowledge of federal, state (in both Montana and Idaho), and local employment regulations and laws.About MeatEater, Inc.MeatEater, Inc. is an outdoor lifestyle company founded by renowned writer and TV personality Steven Rinella.
