Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil
engineering solutions while supporting a multidisciplinary team
across Montana. This individual will lead project execution from
design through construction observation, while mentoring junior
staff and managing client relationships. With a balance of
technical design, project management, and field work, this position
offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on both clients and
communities. What You Will Bring Required Experience: 5–10 years of
civil engineering consulting experience with proven project
management skills. Active PE license in Montana (or ability to
obtain quickly). Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft
Office Suite. Experience preparing and reviewing design plans,
specifications, scopes of work, budgets, and cost estimates. Strong
communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers
and interact directly with clients. Preferred Experience:
Background in large earthwork, restoration, or
water/wastewater/stormwater projects. Field-heavy experience in
construction observation and inspection. Experience collaborating
across multiple engineering disciplines (structural, geotechnical,

Manage Projects: Oversee multiple civil engineering projects at a
time, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met while
maintaining technical quality and client satisfaction. Provide
Technical Excellence: Deliver high-level design work in Civil 3D,
alternative analysis, and planning-level designs, while conducting
thorough technical reviews of project deliverables. Mentor and
Support Junior Engineers: Guide less experienced staff by
delegating workloads, reviewing work, and providing day-to-day
coaching on projects. Strengthen Client Relationships: Serve as a
primary point of contact for project updates, ensuring clear
communication, responsiveness, and strong client trust. Quality /
On-Time Delivery: Demonstrate a high level of competence and
attention to detail to ensure projects are delivered accurately and
on schedule. Meeting Budgets: Consistently deliver projects within
approved budgets, balancing technical excellence with financial
