Manager Position Status: Full-Time, Exempt Job Summary: The
Assistant Branch Manager will assist the Branch Manager in
providing leadership to the bank through efficient daily operations

numerous other employee perks! Key Responsibilities: Represent
American Bank in a courteous, professional manner while providing
prompt, high-quality customer service. Assist the Branch Manager in
overseeing daily branch operations, including customer service,
internal sales, and operational efficiency. Coordinate and support
branch staff activities, including scheduling and ensuring proper
opening and closing procedures. Maintain a working knowledge of all
bank products and services to effectively serve customers and
support staff development. Open and service deposit accounts
including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and
individual retirement accounts. Process and manage consumer lending
products including Liberty Lines, HELOCs, overdraft protection, and
other secured or unsecured consumer loans, including underwriting,
renewals, and servicing. Identify customer needs and cross-sell
appropriate bank products and services; support referrals for
credit cards and merchant services. Develop and maintain customer
relationships to support deposit and loan growth and achieve
established sales and service goals. Monitor and review overdrawn
accounts and contact customers regarding account resolution.
Resolve customer concerns by researching issues and following
through to resolution, Perform account maintenance and other
servicing requests. Ensure adherence to internal controls, branch
procedures, and bank policies. Train and support Universal Bankers
on bank products and digital banking services. Collaborate with
Operations and Lending staff to ensure a positive customer
experience. Participate in community outreach and business
development efforts. Upholds day-to-day oversight and
responsibility for ensuring compliance with regulatory laws as they
relate to functions within their departments. Satisfactorily
complete all required compliance bank training. Skills: Strong
attention to detail, organizational, and leadership abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including coaching
and mentoring abilities. Ability to exercise sound judgement to
make thoughtful, informed decisions in a fast-paced, highly
regulated environment. Proficiency in banking software and
Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to efficiently manage time across
multiple priorities and work independently. Knowledge of banking
regulations and compliance standards. Education and Experience:
Required: High school diploma of GED 2-5 years of relevant
experience in banking, retail, or financial services in a
supervisory role. Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:
Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Management, or a
related field Prior role as a Teller Supervisor, Lead Teller,
Customer Service Supervisor, or Banker. Familiarity with regulatory
compliance. Handling audits, scheduling, and branch operations.
Hold a Montana Notary Public or obtain within 6 months of
employment. Work Environment: Primarily office-based in a clean
atmosphere with normal noise levels. Standard business hours of
8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional extended
hours for projects or audits. Exposed to a potentially hazardous
condition – robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures
to be followed to minimize the risk. Essential Functions: Ability
to see, hear, speak, and use hands to operate standard office
equipment including computers, telephones, calculator, photocopies,
and postage machines. Ability to read, write, perform basic
mathematical calculations, analyze information, and solve problems.
Ability to stand for extended periods while assisting customers, as
well as sit, walk, and move throughout the branch as needed.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds at waist height and 20
pounds at shoulder height. Travel Requirements: Primary work
assignment will be in the Big Sky branch; employees should agree to
go to any other location requested by management, with the
understanding that such temporary re-assignment will require the
use of your personal vehicle. If requested to spend the entire day
at a non-primary location, American Bank will pay for time spent
traveling which is inclusive from the time an employee leaves home
to the time returned to home. In addition, any time that one uses
their personal vehicle, in such travel, American Bank will
reimburse mileage at the current designated IRS mileage
reimbursement rate. Pay Grade: 12 The above statements are intended
